Salman Khan has broken his silence after spending two nights in Jodhpur Central Jail
Bollywood actor Salman Khan has broken his silence after spending two nights in Jodhpur Central Jail following his conviction and sentencing in 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Salman Khan thanked his fans and tweeted ‘tears of gratitude’ for their support.
On Monday, Salman Khan posted his first tweet after returning home following his bail. Taking to the micro-blogging website, Salman said:
“Tears of gratitude . To all my loved ones who are with me and never lost hope . Thank you for being there with all the love and support . God Bless . (sic)”

On Saturday, the actor walked out of the Jodhpur Central Jail after a sessions court granted him bail in the two-decades-old blackbuck poaching case in which he was sentenced to a five-year jail term. On Thursday, Salman Khan was convicted and sentenced in the blackbuck case, while the co-accused in the case, including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam, were acquitted having been given the benefit of doubt. The alleged shooting incident had occurred during filming for ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ when the actors had allegedly gone on a midnight hunt.
Salman received a grand welcome from his fans on Saturday when he arrived at his residence in Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai from Jodhpur jail.
The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor joined his ‘Race 3’ team members at Saqib Saleem’s birthday bash on Sunday, a day after he was granted bail. The 52-year-old actor is expected to resume shooting for ‘Race 3’ soon. A day before he was convicted in the blackbuck poaching case, Salman had wrapped up his Abu Dhabi schedule for the film
